René Kiers

Attorney-at-law, partner

René has been an attorney since 1981. He left Loeff Claeys Verbeke to join Pels Rijcken as a partner in 1999. He represents the state and other government authorities and institutions in complex arbitrations and procedures concerning infrastructure. He also advises clients on invitations to tender in procurement procedures and, should procurement disputes arise, René is a highly skilled litigator in preliminary relief proceedings. He furthermore regularly represents a number of shipyards, regularly acts as an arbitrator and is a lecturer in postgraduate lectures on procurement law at VU University Amsterdam. He is also a trained mediator.
