Pels Rijcken is main sponsor of The Hague Museum of Photography.

Pels Rijcken is an organisation which is embedded in society and which believes in the importance of preserving cultural heritage. That is why we are the main sponsor for The Hague Museum of Photography (Fotomuseum Den Haag).

The Hague Museum of Photography is part of the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and works closely together with the Special Collections department of the Leiden University Library. The Hague Museum of Photography organises approximately six exhibitions per year covering an extremely varied range of periods, disciplines and genres throughout the history of photography in which, strikingly, the view of humanity is the central subject. As a result of this broad approach - both national and international, classical and contemporary, black and white and colour, applied and autonomous - the museum has built up a large public which enjoys being amazed by the varied and high-quality exhibition programmes. Socially relevant photographic projects by contemporary photographers are exhibited on a regular basis.

Through the sponsorship of Pels Rijcken, the Hague Museum of Photography is able to extend the collection of 20th century and contemporary photography and preserve important cultural heritage. In addition, the medium of photography can be brought to the attention of a broader public thanks to new exhibitions by top national and international photographers.
